Machine-Room-Less Design

Homeowners appreciate the machine-room-less design of the WD-9500 series, which integrates the motor assembly at the top of the elevator shaft, leaving only a small control panel to mount outside of the shaft. The design of the WD-9500 has the added benefit of being very durable in flood prone areas since all driving machines and controls are installed up high, out of harm’s way. A float switch can be added for additional flood zone protection.

System Overview

A precision gear-motor assembly is mounted at the top of machined steel guide rails. This machine assembly raises and lowers the elevator via two 3/8” diameter elevator grade steel cables. The motor and integrated brake are controlled using a Variable Frequency Drive that ensures excellent ride quality and low noise levels. Electric door locks and gate switches ensure the safety of passengers inside the elevator and bystanders at the floor levels.
